In the month of September, I am embarking on a meaningful journey. As I lace up my shoes and take each step, my aim is to walk a remarkable distance of 72 miles. Why 72 miles, you may wonder? Well, it is the exact distance of a refugee’s arduous journey from Damascus to Beirut, a journey filled with challenges and uncertainty.

As I undertake this personal challenge, it is not just a physical feat I am aiming for, but also an opportunity to make a meaningful impact. I am proud to be supporting the ‘Miles for Refugees’ campaign, a powerful initiative that seeks to alleviate the struggles faced by some of the most vulnerable people in the UK.

Through ‘Miles for Refugees’, every mile I cover during the month of September will contribute towards supporting the invaluable work of the British Red Cross in aiding refugees. Last year alone, the Red Cross provided support to over 39,000 refugees, individuals seeking asylum, and migrants who were striving to build new lives in the UK.
