About

I was born into a devout Muslim family, faithfully adhering to the practices of Islam, such as performing the five daily prayers, reading and memorizing the Quran, and observing fasting. Nonetheless, I experienced a notable absence of a direct connection with the Divine. As I matured, my inquisitiveness and discontentment grew, prompting me to pose challenging and profound questions. Regrettably, the responses I received to my inquiries were devoid of logical coherence. My frustration reached a point where I found myself living in a state of religious confusion, oscillating between a Muslim identity, agnosticism, and atheism. I was adrift, devoid of purpose and hope, yet an undeniable sense of something missing persisted in my life.

The love of God is beyond human comprehension; the more one denies Him, the more He reveals His unwavering love and faithfulness, as expressed in Psalm 86:15: “The Lord, the God of Israel, is with us, and He never leaves us nor forsakes us,” as further emphasized in Deuteronomy 31:6. In retrospect, it becomes evident that God was preparing me for a significant journey.

At an early age, I achieved academic excellence, graduating with first-class honors in computer engineering and becoming the youngest senior software engineer in my company. I also completed a Master’s degree in software engineering and began my career as a senior lecturer at the university.

However, the turning point arrived in 2014, when my father passed away. His death raised profound existential questions within me: Where is he now? What awaits us in the afterlife? What is the purpose of life, if any? I was engulfed in a sense of loss and despair.

In accordance with the wisdom imparted in Philippians 4:6, I decided to cast aside my anxieties and turn to prayer: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.” With tearful eyes, I humbled myself and prayed, despite my uncertainty about how to address the Divine. In that moment, I experienced a profound, unprecedented sensation, akin to a mother’s embrace. The following day, the world remained unchanged, yet everything had shifted on a deeper level. Despair had been replaced by a newfound sense of purpose and hope. Hallelujah!

I perceive this entire experience as a divine sign, guiding me on my spiritual quest. It compelled me to explore various religions, all with a single overarching question: What constitutes ultimate truth? I thirsted for spiritual enlightenment, a connection with the living God. This thirst was quenched, and my eyes were opened when I encountered the Word of God, which proclaimed, “But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life” (John 4:14). I pondered if this was the truth I had sought throughout my life, and the answer arrived in John 14:6: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

In Jesus, I discovered my source of hope. By early 2018, I had discerned the truth, and I awakened to a profound spiritual awareness. Remember, God perceives the heart, and I confessed sincerely from the depths of my being. I opened my heart’s door and surrendered it to Jesus, my Lord and Savior. My being was immediately filled with an overwhelming and uncontainable joy. Praise be to God! Finding God does not mean building a shelter in a land devoid of storms but constructing a sanctuary impervious to life’s tempests. Amen.

I recognized that with Jesus by my side, I could navigate even the darkest of days. However, I grappled with the apprehension of how my family, friends, and the people around me would react. I understood that challenges and opposition lay ahead.

As stated in Romans 8:31, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” I comprehended that Jesus’ life exemplified the prioritization of bringing justice, grace, love, and peace to the marginalized and downtrodden over the fear of persecution. Thus, in the mid-2018, I openly embraced my faith. Since then, I have dedicated my life to serving God and humanity.

I have resolved to align my life with God’s plan, making Him my foremost priority. I firmly believe that the time has come to revive our city and country by bringing the divine presence of God to all and demonstrating the character of the Holy Spirit. I am passionately committed to our future leaders, our youth and students. As an evangelical Christian, I feel a strong calling to reach out to people of all nations and tribes and share with them the message of King Jesus. Amen!
